Learn how to make this fun and delicious snowman cake using regular chocolate cake mix and ground Mexican chocolate.

Recipe

Ingredients

For the cake:

  • 1 Box of Devil’s Food Cake Mix
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup of Corn Oil
  • 1 Cup of Water
  • 2 tbsp. ground Mexican Chocolate Bar 
  • 1 tbsp. powdered Cinnamon

For the fondant:

  • 16 oz. Mini Marshmallows
  • 2 lb. Powdered Sugar

Directions

For the cake:

  1. In a mixing bowl put all the ingredients and mix them well until they are completely incorporated.
  2. Pour the mixture on 2-6″ round greased cake pan.
  3. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 325°F.

For the fondant:

  1. In a microwavable bowl, melt 16 oz. of mini marshmallows with 3 tbsp. of water for 2 minutes.
  2. Mix well until they are all completely melted. Do not overcook.
  3. Add 2 lb. of powdered sugar, using spatula scrap the bowl and mix well.
  4. Pour mixture on a powdered sugar dusted surface and start kneading until fondant has a smooth consistency. If fondant is sticky you may add more powder sugar.
  5. Reserve in a plastic bag.

Pro Tips

Make an easy filling using whipping cream and ground Mexican Chocolate. Combine and mix until incorporated.
