Benefits of Mazola® Corn Oil**
Not all cooking oils are made the same. If you are looking for baking recipes don’t ignore the type of oil used in a recipe. Choosing healthier vegetable oils such as corn oil over butter results in a lower concentration of saturated and trans fats and a higher concentration of healthier fats.
Here is why corn oil should be your way to go when baking:
- Naturally cholesterol-free.** Corn oil is a heart-healthy* oil, making it a perfect ingredient for healthy home-cooked meals for the entire family.
- High smoking point. Many people don’t realize that different types of cooking oil have different smoke points which should never be exceeded. Corn oil has a high smoke point of 450°F, which means that it can handle the heat in the kitchen without generating toxic fumes or negatively affecting food’s flavor.
- Multi-purpose. Corn oil** is a perfect ingredient for a variety of home-cooked meals. It can be used for grilling, baking, sautéing, or mixing up a dressing or marinade.
- Neutral taste. Corn oil has a neutral flavor, which means that it won’t interfere with the natural taste of your favorite ingredients.

*Very limited and preliminary scientific evidence suggests that eating about 1 tablespoon (16 grams) of corn oil daily may reduce the risk of heart disease due to the unsaturated fat content in corn oil. FDA concludes that there is little scientific evidence supporting this claim. To achieve this possible benefit, corn oil is to replace a similar amount of saturated fat and not increase the total number of calories you eat in a day. One serving of this product contains 14 grams of corn oil.
