A constant concern in all families is how to find ways to get kids to eat healthier. Especially with the lack of time many parents have, they have to do a juggling act just to fulfill their daily responsibilities, let alone get creative in the kitchen.

At Royal Prestige® we care about your family, so we have created kitchen equipment to help you cook easily, quickly and healthier. Our Novel® cooking system is designed to cook fresh and frozen vegetables (and some fruits) with very little added water. Its unique method of cooking also let you cook most types of meats, poultry and some types of fish, without any added grease, fat or cooking oil.

Below, we share four dishes that the little ones will find so delicious that they won’t even realize that they are eating healthy, giving them energy and making them happy and strong.

Oatmeal Pizza

school 2 - Cocina

We all know that children love pizza, and there is nothing better than preparing one of their favorite dishes in a healthier way. You can make this dish with fun and colorful ingredients so that your children enjoy it with all their senses.

For the dough, place oatmeal, yeast and sugar in the Royal Prestige Blender. Then pour the contents into a 3‐quart Mixing Bowl and knead, adding in water and salt to taste. Let it rest.

Place sundried tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, lime, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper in the blender to prepare the pesto.

Now stretch the dough into a rectangular shape and place it on our previously olive oiled Double Griddle, heated for 2 minutes at medium-high temperature. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 9 minutes. Then, turn and layer on the pesto, your children’s favorite ingredients and sprinkle with mozzarella.

Cook for 9 more minutes and it’s ready! Place the pizza on the table and you will see how the children run to enjoy this dish, making it disappear in minutes.

Avocado and Edamame Hummus

Hummus is an excellent healthy snack for when the kids get hungry. It can also be enjoyed for breakfast or munch on it with crunchy vegetable sticks.

To recreate this hummus recipe, place soybean edamame and water in the 3‐quart Dutch Oven and cook over medium-high heat with the Redi‐Temp® valve open until it whistles. Then lower the heat and cook for 4 more minutes. Let cool.

In the Royal Prestige Blender, add beans, avocado, pine nuts, habanero pepper, sour cream, salt, tahini sauce, lemon juice, garlic and cilantro sprigs. Blend for 30 seconds. Next, add olive oil and blend until all the ingredients are well integrated. Refrigerate for 10 minutes and bon appétit!
